Lynn F. Austin is an author, entrepreneur and speaker. She is also founder of Austin Group Consulting, CulturalNuances, the Visionary Coaching Workshop and TheBOM: Betting On Me .
With more than 15 years executive leadership experience at fortune 100 companies, Lynn’s professional portfolio includes leadership roles at Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and HarleyDavidson Motor Company where she was the first African American Director of Marketing.
Among her many professional accolades, Lynn orchestrated a landmark motorcycle info- tainment program that ultimately toured the country and became a featured custom exhibit at the 2008 grand opening of the HarleyDavidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI, highlighting her leadership of the campaign.
Known for her ability to understand, guide and inspire, her programs transform leaders along the most effective path to achieving their desired results
In the midst of a successful career, Lynn married into a mentally, physically and emotionally abusive marriage. In leaving the marriage, she made the tough decision to also leave her career. She left both, packing a suitcase for two weeks and purchasing a one way ticket to Arizona where she knew no one, had a job lead and set out to figure things out.
With the divorce came the loss of assets, investments and money she had acquired prior to marriage. After 18 months of therapy, working a series of jobs that didn’t appreciate her skills, talent or experience – it became evident that survival meant it was time to become TheBOM and “Bet on Me”
In 2015, Lynn became a certified leadership coach, set a goal to be a published author and wrote three books over one weekend in February and self‐published “The Little Book of Positive Affirmations,” “Press Interview Fundamentals,” and “12 Step Approach to Sponsorships.” Lynn’s fourth book titled TheBOM: Betting on Me is scheduled for May 1, 2016 release. In June 2016, Lynn became an adjunct professor at Grand Canyon University.
Lynn enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friend.
