[Phoenix, AZ] – The legendary R&B and Hip Hop group, The Force MDs, presented Arizona business owner and Grand Canyon University adjunct professor, Lynn F. Austin, with their 2017 humanitarian award for her efforts battling domestic violence and work uplifting, guiding and mentoring at-risk youth.

Ms. Austin says she developed an affinity for causes impacting women, youth, and teen girls as a result of her own life journey.  As a means to coach, motivate and inspire people to live their purpose, she launched her “Betting On Me” website and blog, and with her much anticipated book titled "TheB.O.M: Betting on Me" - scheduled for summer 2017 release - she seeks to continue helping others working to find their path in life.

The award, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate the courage to take decisive action, the wisdom to face aggressive challenges and the willingness to sacrifice to affect causes that impact the betterment of the community, was presented at their “Family and Friends 2” event on June 3, 2017 at BB Kings in Times Square in New York City.
